International Travel with Advance Parole – Important Advisory

We want to confirm that international travel always carries some level of risk for non-citizens, even when an individual holds a valid Advance Parole document. While Advance Parole generally allows a person to request re-entry to the United States, it does not guarantee admission, as final entry decisions are always made by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the port of entry.

Given the current immigration enforcement climate and evolving policies, there is an increased level of scrutiny at airports and borders. This means that individuals traveling on Advance Parole may be subject to additional questioning, delays, or, in some cases, denial of re-entry depending on their immigration history and any changes in enforcement priorities.

Our firm’s general legal advice is to avoid international travel unless it is truly necessary while an immigration application is pending. However, we also understand that travel may be required due to family or personal circumstances, and the final decision to travel is yours.
